Connect NoteFit to Claude

Once connected, Claude sees your athletes and your plan and writes into them — creating the block, the weeks and the sessions without you leaving the chat. You connect once and it stays.

Connect in four steps

  1. Open Claude’s connectors

In Claude’s settings, look for Connectors and the option to add a custom connector. Exactly where that sits moves from time to time and depends on your plan — if you cannot find it, Claude’s own documentation says where it is in the version you have.

  2. Paste the NoteFit address

It is the only value you need. There is no key to generate and no extension to install: the address is the connector.

    https://notefit.app/api/mcp

  3. Sign in and approve

Claude opens NoteFit for you to sign in. An approval screen names who is connecting and what they are asking for — reading your training, and writing to it. You can untick writing and connect read-only.

  4. Ask it something

From here Claude has the tools. Start small: ask for this week’s summary before you ask it to create a block.

From an empty month to a five-week block: the plan is written into the account, not pasted back into it.

What changes when Claude is the one writing

MCP — the protocol behind this connection — was created by Anthropic, the same company that makes Claude, and it is now the ordinary way to give an assistant tools. In practice that means Claude is comfortable chaining them: it can read your roster, work out who has no week planned and create that week, all in one request, without you walking it through step by step.

So it is worth asking it for whole tasks rather than commands. "See who has no week for next week and plan it from what they did this week" is a request it can carry out — and because each block is created in one go, or fails entirely, a request that goes wrong never leaves half a plan behind.

A typical conversation

A coach opens the day with "what needs my attention today?" and gets the list: who has no current week, whose week is empty, whose block is ending with nothing after it. They pick an athlete, ask for this week’s volume per muscle, see that back is under target, and ask for two more sets on a day with room.

None of that involves writing the plan by hand. What Claude gives back is not a text containing the plan — it is confirmation that the plan changed. You open NoteFit and it is there.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to pay anything on NoteFit to connect Claude?

No. The connector is part of the account, not an add-on. What you need is a NoteFit account and a Claude where you can add custom connectors — that part depends on your plan on Claude’s side, not ours.

Can Claude delete my plan?

Only what you authorise, and only what your account could already delete. The write tools are mostly additive — create, log a load, leave a note — and writes run with your own session, so the app’s permissions still apply. If you would rather not, connect read-only.

Can I disconnect later?

Yes, under Account → Connected apps, at any time. The connection disappears on the NoteFit side and Claude loses access.

Does it work with several athletes?

Yes, and that is where it pays off most. One tool looks across every active athlete at once and reports what needs attention, instead of you opening them one by one.
