Notification Consent Policy

NoteFit distinguishes four notification categories. Each is controlled independently in Settings → Notifications.

1. Transactional (always on)

Required to deliver the Service. Cannot be opted out of while you have an account.

• Account confirmation
• Password reset
• Security alerts (new device sign-in, suspicious activity)
• Sharing-invitation acceptance / decline
• Account-deletion confirmation

2. Reminders (opt-in, off by default)

• Workout scheduled (day of, morning of)
• Microcycle ending / next microcycle starting
• Mesocycle plan ready for review

Delivered by push (mobile) and email if you configure it.

3. Product updates (opt-in, off by default)

News about new features, app updates, and beta programs. Delivered by email only.

4. Marketing (opt-in, off by default)

Promotional campaigns, surveys, partner announcements. Delivered by email only. Every marketing email contains a one-click unsubscribe link as required by CAN-SPAM and EU ePrivacy.

5. Push notifications

Push notifications require OS permission, which the app requests on first relevant interaction. You can revoke OS permission at any time from your device settings. Revoking permission disables push delivery for all categories without affecting email.

6. How to opt out

• In the app — Settings → Notifications.
• From any marketing email — the unsubscribe link.
• By contacting us — admin@notefit.app (actioned within 5 working days).

Opting out of marketing or reminders does not affect transactional notifications.

7. Lawful basis

• Transactional — contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
• Reminders, product updates, marketing — consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), granular, opt-in, withdrawable.

8. Record of consent

Each time you change a preference we record the category, the new value, the timestamp, the source (web / iOS / Android), and the version of this Policy in effect.
